Terms of service

Plain-language terms covering how work is scoped, paid for, delivered and revised. The written scope for your engagement takes precedence over this page.

These terms apply to consultancy work commissioned through this site. Each engagement also has a written scope and quote; where the two differ, the written scope governs.

1. Who provides the service

The service is provided by an independent consultant trading as Danish Business Plans, working remotely. There is no office in Jeddah and no local presence is implied.

2. Scope

Work is limited to what is written in the scope and quote: the documents, the research, the model, the timeline and the revision rounds. Anything not listed is out of scope and must be quoted separately before it is undertaken.

3. Quotes and validity

Quotes are issued in writing after a scoping consultation and are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are quoted in the agreed currency. A quote is not an invitation to begin work until it is accepted and the advance payment clears.

4. Payment

  • Standard plans: full fee in advance.
  • Larger scopes: staged payments set out in writing, with the first stage paid before work begins.
  • Accepted routes: PayPal or Payoneer, confirmed with the client before quoting.
  • Currency is agreed before quoting and does not change at invoice stage.

5. Delivery

Drafts are delivered by email in the formats stated in the scope. Final documents are released when the payment terms in the scope are met. Delivery dates are estimates based on the inputs being available; delays caused by missing inputs, changed requirements or third-party information move the delivery date accordingly.

6. Revisions

Two revision rounds are included within the original scope. A revision round covers corrections, clarifications and changes consistent with the agreed scope. A new business concept, a different funding route or additional documents constitute new work and are quoted separately.

7. Client responsibilities

The client provides accurate information and timely inputs, nominates one person to consolidate feedback, and confirms that any figures supplied are theirs to use. The consultant is not responsible for decisions based on inaccurate or incomplete client information.

8. What is not provided

  • Submission of applications to banks, funds or programmes.
  • Legal, tax, audit, valuation, licensing or investment advice.
  • Introductions to lenders or investors.
  • Any guarantee of funding, approval, investor interest or financial outcome.
  • Arabic-language documents or translation.

9. No guarantee of outcome

The documents describe a business and its assumptions. Lending and investment decisions are made by third parties. Nothing in the engagement constitutes a promise of any outcome.

10. Confidentiality

Client materials are treated as confidential and are not published, shared or used as samples without written permission. The samples on this site are fictional and labelled as such.

11. Intellectual property

On full payment, the client receives the right to use the delivered documents for their business. The consultant retains the right to reuse generic methods, templates and structures, but not the client's confidential information.

12. Cancellation

If the client cancels, work completed up to the cancellation date is chargeable at the agreed rate and the balance of any advance is refunded. If the consultant cannot complete the work, the client receives a refund for the undelivered portion.

13. Liability

Liability is limited to the fee paid for the engagement. The consultant is not liable for business losses, lost funding, or decisions taken by third parties on the basis of the documents.

14. Governing terms

These terms are governed by the law applicable in the consultant's place of business. The written scope may specify additional terms, which take precedence for that engagement.
